West Kempsey Hotel has been a successful local bar in the heart of West Kempsey business precinct for over 100 years. In 2011 Tim smith and Tammy Hancock bought the hotel and since then have given the grand old gentleman a full refurbishment throughout, including a new bistro open daily for lunch and Wednesday through Saturday for dinner. Head Chef Chris Ruthven, has been with the West Kempsey Hotel since 2012 and has helped build a strong reputation for delivering quality, affordable food for the whole family. His passion for smoked meats has allowed Chris to develop and perfect his techniques and given the West Kempsey Hotel the opportunity to have our own smokehouse on site. The bistro offers a wide variety of meals starting from $8 and offers daily specials, gluten free options and kid’s menu. The bistro and pub is available for private functions and offers a menu of cocktail food platters, smorgasbord style dining and set menu options catering for up to 180pax for lunch and 300 for dinner functions with no room hire fee. The front bar offers a wide variety of spirits, domestic and imported beers and Australian and NZ wines. We also have a drive through bottle shop attached to the venue for your convenience. The team at West Kempsey Hotel pride themselves on good service, great food, excellent atmosphere and a warm and inviting place to ‘come home to’.
