About

Our school is situated in Macksville, which is a North Coast town on the banks of the Nambucca River, 12 kilometres from the mouth of the river. Macksville has a population of 4000 and is the political centre of the Nambucca Shire. Our school was established in 1875 and some of the original buildings (on the current site), still in use, are of historical significance. At Macksville Public School we strive for excellence and the acceptance of responsibility through the provision of a happy, secure, attractive and caring environment. Macksville Public School provides quality education in a personal and professional environment. Community partnerships are valued and widely promoted. The school is highly regarded within the local and wider community. Our students experience a wide range of extracurricular and sporting activities. We also provide an extensive amount of extracurricular opportunities including; recorder group, choir, dance and acro troupes, gardening and cooking programs, running club and Tournament of the Minds.
