MY PLAN TO and Couper GET AUSTRALIA BACK ON TRACK LOW INFLATION Australia's inflation rate under Labor is higher than any major advanced economy in the world. I support cutting wasteful spending, reducing red and green tape and returning to the Coalition's responsible economic management. Labor's cost-of-living crisis is causing so much pain for locals. LOW MORTGAGE RATES While the latest 0.25% interest rate cut is a welcome relief, we have seen 12 interest rate rises under Labor. Only by controlling government spending and reducing energy prices will we see home and small business mortgage rates come down. Labor's poor policies have kept mortgage rates high. Hearing directly from our community on the issues that affect them most SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES As well as cost of living relief, my plan includes ensuring families will have real choice when it comes to education, childcare and access to local community services. There is simply too much pressure on local families. FINANCIAL REVIEW Dutton promises back-to-basics economic plan A Coalition government would deliver a back-to-basics economic plan to rein in wasteful spending while delivering lower taxes and supporting small business AFFORDABLE HOMES We will unlock up to 500,000 new homes by funding essential infrastructure like water, power and sewerage at housing development sites. My plan supports first home buyers by letting them use part of their super for a deposit. We need to reduce migration - over the past two years there have been nearly four new arrivals for every new home built. I support a two year ban on foreign investors and temporary residents buying Australian homes. Watson Place 15 Watson St Celebrating the opening of Watson Street Housing in Bellingen for women over 55, after securing $5m for the project CHEAPER ENERGY Labor promised a $275 reduction in energy bills but our power and gas costs have kept increasing. Today, Australians pay some of the highest power prices in the world. I support a sensible, low-cost energy plan that includes more Australian gas and, in seven locations, retired coal plants will be replaced with zero-emissions nuclear energy. THE AUSTRALIAN sky news .COM.AU Coalition promises two-year ban on foreign home buyers Labor's cost-of-living crisis is only going to get worse as families struggle to pay for their food. - David Littleproud PAT CONAGHAN MP HAN NATIONALS for Couper SAFER COMMUNITIES I support stronger defence and border security that includes deporting non-citizens who commit violence crimes. I will work with the state government to implement tougher knife laws and tighter bail laws. And I'll support online safety programs for our children. A BOOSTING OUR REGIONS Labor's neglected our regions for years. I will fight for better broadband and will work to bring back the Coalition's Building Better Regions Fund that delivered for our local communities. I support the Black Spot Road Safety program as there are still too many accidents on our country roads. ENCOURAGING an SMALL BUSINESS I know how critical small businesses are in our local communities - whether they're farmers or those that supply our goods and services. I support the instant asset write off and creating a strong economy so all business owners have the confidence to plan for the future and employ more local residents. HEALTH & AGED CARE We need better local health care closer to home as it's become so hard under Labor to find doctors' appointments, especially appointments which are bulk- billed. I strongly support the Coalition's $400 million plan to boost the number of graduate doctors going into general practice. I also support reinstating the number of Medicare-subsidised mental health sessions from 10 to 20 after Labor cut these in 2022 for over 240,000 Australians.
